Personally, I would take LA's offer every day of the week over NYI.
You guys realize Chris Pronger is the best defenseman in the game, right?
Both EHM and in real life.
Chris Pronger is more valuable to a team than either of the Sedins are.
I'm not sure how this is "BS". Vancouver desperately needed a shut down defenseman. Look at his team. Most goals against in the league. Chris Pronger is the perfect guy for his team.
Even if NYI's offer was better (which it is not), then is it a crime to accept someone else's offer? It's Vancouver's decision...
Fact is, the best player in the deal goes to Vancouver.
Zajac and Booth are nice, but neither are game breakers. Zajac may be one day, but I highly doubt he ever develops that killer instinct in EHM. Frolik is going to take time to develop. Value wise, NYI obviously has a great offer, but it doesnt fit Vancouver's glaring weakness: Defense.
Good trade guys.
Oh, and I agree, no penalty should be invoked for NYI's reaction, that would be silly, but at the same time, it does seem a bit immature to post in all caps, yelling about the return which was certainly more than adequate. Cant we all calm down?
Oh, and in response to Panthers GM- Yes, Glen Sather acted unprofessionally as well ;D

I want this to stop as much as everyone eldse.I have tried to resolve this via pm, but he creates this thread, as well as a veto thread. I did nothing wrong in this trade. I will now politely stop posting in these threads

Good post. I agree with most of your points. I was under the impression he was rebuilding and this wasn't the type of package you would want for that. Either way losing the Sedins is going to be rough even with addition of Pronger.
I think a lot of people value young players higher in this league that's why people would take NYI's trade.

Ok, everyone made good points. I just would love to know why you would trade your top 2 players within the divison, but otherwise we can drop it.

They're not in the same division, and while he traded his top two players to LA, LA also traded his best player to Vancouver. As much as it sucks to play against the Sedins, doesnt it suck just as much to play against Pronger?

and if anyone should be penalized its LA, because, if im right they are not 2,219,917 over the cap.
Let the admins do some research into THAT.

For the record, trading them within the conference was the one thing that I couldnt stomach about LA's deal, thats why I waited so long to take it.
Like I said, and was confirmed by Avs. Pronger was the centrepiece of this for me. Goals against have been killing me all year long. The bulk of my goals allowed come with the Sedins on the ice (believe it or not lol).
Anyways, just wanted to explain my logic.

To Vancouver: N.Zherdev (2mil) + M.Ribeiro(5 mil) + C.Pronger(4.9 mil) + 2011 1st + B.Kozun + 2011 4th + 2012 2nd = 11.9 million ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- To Los Angeles: D.Sedin(6.1) + H.Sedin (6.1) + L.Visnovsky (5.6) = 17.8 million
LA takes on $6.9 million more
This deal is null and void as LA lists 4.33 in available cap space

Yep i just did his team on capgeek and they are 2,219,917 over.
Good try, if this deal gets voided and vancouver wants to trade them to the isles, i would send a big "fuck yaelf" back on over.

Jeez you guys are so unforgiving. At least let Kings GM sign on so he can make a trade before the next sim.
He's not over the cap until Staalguy inputs this trade in, so just see what happens. By my numbers, he's only over the cap by $1.563M since he can send Harrold, Parse and Drewiskie down.
And it's pretty easy to get back under. He could just trade some dead weight like Stoll or Tallinder for someone cheaper.
And I highly doubt VAN would turn around and trade the Sedins to NYI if this is rejected.

Actually he can't because you need a 23 man roster. Also, you're not allowed to be over the cap at all before making a trade. So he should have waited to make cap room before posting this trade. It's not our fault for pointing out the obvious flaws...

I did the cap withoutHarrold, Parse and Drewiskie so...and you're supposed to create cap space before a trade...
The sim shouldnt wait for him to make a trade...thats like the ref waiting for a team to get all 5 players on the rink before dropping the puck...
No fair. Supposed to create space to make a trade, this isnt the offseason where you can be over.
