Free Agency Rules:
1. You must create a thread of the player you are making the offer too in the "Free Agent Offers" thread and post your offer and a reason why they should join your team. Some of the big name players (like Kovy, Willie Mitchell, Alex Frolov etc.) already have threads, so once free agency starts, post your offers and reasons in their threads. For everyone else that doesnt already have a thread, you must make one yourself and include an offer and reason.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ex.
The LA Kings would like to offer LW Ilya Kovalchuk:
7 years, 8.2M per season.
Ilya, you would be a great assest to our team, yada yada yada, you get the point.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
2. You can withdraw offers but only a max of three per day.
3. You can offer NMC's and NTC's to the FA.
4. Once Free Agency starts, it will run for 5 days. By the end of the 5th day, every FA will have made a descision/
5. Its not all about the money, the reasons you say why the player should sign with your team is a big factor in the player's descision.
6. The big name FA's already have expectations, so if you fail or go way higher than what they are expecting, they will not sign with your team. This prevents bidding from getting out of hand.
7. Free Agency will start once we have 30 GM's.
8. The people making the descisions on where the FA's sign are Staalguy, OilersGM, Yotes GM, tampa2, and Ilse GM. If one of us is in a bid for a player, they do not get a say in the descision making.
9. You can sign certain European players. Keep in mind, the offer would have to be great unless the player would stay in Europe.
10. If an offer is too low for a player (example, Kovy's highest offer is 6M per season) they will not sign and will stay a Free Agent.
11. Once the PA's (player agents) make a descision on where a FA will sign, we will post it in the "Free Agent Signings" thread.
